What we believe.

All caregivers are welcome. Our focus is on the One we have in common. We seek to bring attention to Jesus Christ as fully described in the Bible.

We are followers of Jesus Christ. We celebrate the variety of church traditions and exercise charity and tolerance as followers of Jesus Christ. There are many treasured beliefs in the Christian community, and we exercise mutual respect where there are differences. The following statement outlines the shared foundational, essential Christian beliefs that we hold tightly:

We believe in the divine inspiration and final authority of the Bible as the Word of God.

We believe in the eternal God revealed in Holy Scripture as Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe in the unique Deity of Jesus Christ, God’s only Son, whose death and resurrection provide by grace through faith the only means of salvation from our transgressions, our sins.

We believe in the transforming presence and power of the Holy Spirit.

Our Identity.

Our equilibrium, our foundation is in Christ.  We come from many backgrounds and histories but for each of us it was a real encounter with Jesus Christ that is now the essence of who we are and the basis of our behavior. It overshadows obvious differences within our fellowship. We are most of all His. We exercise gratitude and grace because we are His.  We love the Bible because we find Him in the pages of both the Old and the New Testament. We gather because we find Him in our fellowship.

We are forgiven sinners. We do not condemn those around us but invite all to come and see the Jesus of the Bible. That invitation comes with a warning. Jesus seeks full Lordship and has the authority to ask it of us. Jesus does not leave people alone. His teachings challenge, offend, humble and lead to life changes. At the same time, he stands as a forgiving friend in our failures. He is beside us, within us, strengthening us as we seek to be obedient. We live abundant lives because of Him.  Our identity is in Christ.

Identity in Christ, what it means.

In Christ:

 I am redeemed.

I am covered by His blood.

I am clothed in His righteousness.

I am forgiven.

 I am a forgiver.

I am not ashamed.

 I am a new creation.

 I am different.

I am a disciple.

I am an overcomer.

I am a child of the King.

I am a member of the church.

I am united with all believers.

 I am strong.

 I am significant.

I am healed.

 I am justified.

 I am sanctified.

 I am called.

 I am a messenger.

 I am loved.

I am in love.

 I am not my own.

 I am purchased.

I am free.

 I am a better me.

I am His.
